Notes:
Log(E) represents the energy in eV of the bin center.
N is the number of showers observed in that energy bin.
The exposure is 1750 km2 sr yr.
N/1750 is the incremental instensity in 1/10 decade of energy.
(10/ln(10))*N/1750 is the incremental intensity per unit ln(E).
The units for dI/dln(E) are (km2 sr yr)-1.
Divide by 3.14x1013 to convert to (m2 sr
s)-1.
Multiply by E2 to convert to E3J, since
dI/dln(E)=E*J (where J=dI/dE).
These data are only a first estimate of the cosmic ray energy spectrum
measured in the southern skies by the Pierre Auger Observatory.
Future measurements will have substantially reduced systematic and
statistical uncertainties. Any systematic correction in energy
normalization would change the intensity levels.
