Dear Collaborator;

There are two types of importation, temporary and permanent. Permanent importation should be dealt with the diplomatic waver. I am now letting you know of my suggested way out for temporary importation. Bear in mind that temporary importation should be definitely avoided whenever possible and that the collaboration should aim at permanent importation.

1) GENERALITIES

o CNEA has instructed and authorized two of its personnel to act as customs brokers on behalf of the Institution. As such there is no insurance to be paid but instead it is replaced with a affidavit signed by me stating that all the equipment will leave within the stated time.

As such at departure time the equipment should to be inspected by a customs official, no equipment may be left behind (not even a screwdriver) since that might cause me problem with the law.

o the equipment has to enter and leave as accompanied luggage, i.e. travelling with the Auger collaborator. Customs are sorted at the entrance airport, ie Ezeiza. We cannot help if you are using another international airport as Mendoza's.

o The two CNEA's customs brokers will need to be with you at arrival and at departure at the airport (Ezeiza) with the full documentation since you are not entitled to deal with the customs on behalf of CNEA. They will do their work for free for you within CNEA's working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 hours. Hours outside this range will need to be lawfully covered to the them (by you) at the following rate:10.70 $/hours/each, and on Sundays at 13.42 $/hours/each.

o If a CNEA's car + chauffuer is used, it will be for free within CNEA's working hours. If not, you will need to add the extra hour expenditures for the chauffeur.

2) PAPERWORK

o The paperwork is for free and the following list needs to be here two weeks prior to the trip:

1) Photocopy or scan of the traveler's passports photograph and data sheets (either by fax +54 11 4754 7121, or email to me).

2) For both arrival and departure flights: Air company, flight number, time arrival/departure

3) a) name/description of equipment

b) Equipment brand

c) Model or model number

d) Serial number

e) Value of each piece of equipment

f) Weight of each piece of equipment

g) Kindly add total value and weight of the equipment

Information required in 2) and 3) could be mailed to me.

That is all. Now a kind request: send 3) translated in Spanish.
