In all materials, e-mails and other exchanges we 
would like you to use an identifier composed of 
3 fields

1) the institution sending the parcel;
2) your own identification or sequence number;
3) a date (DD MMM YR) associated with the shipment.

For example, at Fermilab we will use:

FNAL 0001 21 SEP 00
